Supplementary feed for cats
Support your pet in maintaining a natural intestinal health.
Cats attach great importance to their coat care. With the backward pointing horny hooks on their tongues, they remove dirt, dead hairs and parasites, among other things. During this grooming process, cats often swallow more hairballs, which pose a danger to the stomach. Once a large amount of hairballs collects in your velvet paw's stomach, there is a risk of clumping. This can lead to intestinal obstruction in severe cases. Common symptoms of this are vomiting, diarrhea, loss of appetite, weight loss and abdominal pain.
However, hairballs are not the only reason for stomach problems of your furry nose. Other reasons can be improper nutrition, parasites, infections, immune-related diseases, poisoning or stress. If these complaints manifest themselves in the form of diarrhea, the right home remedies, gentle food or boiled drinking water can help, for example. More tips and information about diarrhea can be found here.

If your pet has diabetes, it is important to check blood sugar regularly, especially if you are using new food supplements.
The effects of plant substances on blood glucose levels have not yet been sufficiently researched. For diabetics, therefore, the product should be gradually introduced over a period of seven days. To do this, start with a small amount (e.g. a knife tip) and gradually increase the amount until you reach the recommended daily dose. Due to the unclear nature of the research, it is your responsibility to keep a close eye on your pet's blood sugar levels while feeding. If you need assistance with this, you can always contact us in the vet chat to book a nutritional consultation.

To avoid hairball formation in the stomach, you can take some preventive measures.
1. regular brushing
To support your velvet paw in grooming, it helps to brush the coat regularly to remove loose hairs. This is especially important during the coat change and protects against hairball formation.
2. High-fiber food
Food with a high proportion of fiber and mucilage can help stimulate digestion and eliminate more hair.
3. Vet-Concept Cat intestinal gel
The intestinal gel serves to perfectly support gastrointestinal function. During food intake, the gel supports a healthy passage of ingested hair. The herbal ingredients also create a healthy gastrointestinal environment, whereby hair is less likely to adhere and digestion is promoted.
